What's New: Music Supervisors Can Now Discover Your Music on SyncReady

When we launched SyncReady, the mission was simple: help independent artists get their music ready for sync licensing. Organize your catalog. Score your tracks. Build professional pitch pages.

But "ready" was only half the equation. The other half — actually connecting with the people who license music — was still happening outside the platform. Until now.

Today we're introducing the Supervisor Workspace: a dedicated side of SyncReady where verified music supervisors can discover, save, and license music directly from independent artists.

What We Built

The Supervisor Workspace is a separate experience designed for the people on the other side of sync — the ones searching for music to place in TV, film, ads, and digital content.

Here's what supervisors can do:

Discover artists and tracks. Supervisors can browse a pool of sync-ready music, filtered by genre, mood, BPM, key, and instrumentation. Every track in the discovery pool has been scored by our SyncReady system, so supervisors know at a glance which tracks have complete metadata, split sheets, and instrumental versions.

Save favorites and build playlists. When a supervisor finds tracks they like, they can save them to organized playlists for specific projects — a Netflix pilot, a sneaker ad, a documentary series. This replaces the scattered spreadsheets and bookmark folders most supervisors currently rely on.

Post briefs. Supervisors can publish project briefs describing what they're looking for — genre, mood, tempo range, deadline. Artists on Pro Premium plans can see these briefs and submit their tracks directly.

Manage deals. When a supervisor wants to license a track, the conversation happens on-platform. Licensing terms, negotiations, and status tracking are all in one place.

What This Means for Artists

If you're on SyncReady, your catalog is now visible to the people who make licensing decisions. You don't need to cold-email supervisors, submit to anonymous portals, or pay for playlist placements.

Here's how it works for you:

All Pro subscribers are visible in discovery. If you're on a Pro plan, your tracks are automatically included in the supervisor discovery pool — as long as they have complete metadata and a passing SyncReady score. The better your score, the higher your tracks appear in search results.

Pro Premium members can respond to briefs. Supervisors post what they're looking for. You submit tracks that fit. If they're interested, you'll get a notification and can start the conversation directly.

Inquiries and licensing flow through the platform. When a supervisor wants to license your track, you'll receive an inquiry with details about the project, the intended use, and the proposed terms. No more wondering if an email got lost.

Why We Built It This Way

The sync licensing industry has a discovery problem. Supervisors are overwhelmed with submissions from libraries, publishers, and cold emails. Artists are pitching into the void, hoping someone sees their track.

We wanted to build something different — a system where readiness is the filter. Supervisors don't have to wade through unorganized catalogs because every track in the discovery pool has already been vetted for completeness. And artists don't have to guess what supervisors want because briefs make the demand side visible.

This isn't a replacement for relationships. Supervisors will still work with artists they know and trust. But it's a starting point for connections that wouldn't otherwise happen — especially for indie artists who don't have a publisher or manager making introductions.

This is the first version. We're already working on direct messaging between supervisors and artists, notification preferences so you're alerted when a brief matches your catalog, and analytics that show you which supervisors are viewing your tracks.
